How to build a �goat house� using wood pallets. goats are a wonderful addition to a family! we appreciate them so much! but it was time to build them a sufficient goat shelter for winter. to answer the question, �do goats need shelter in the winter�, yes, they do. especially in our cold, snowy and windy climate.. I love the pallet barns, but i must mention that leaving the inside bare is a baaaaad idea for goats. goats love to climb and they could easily get a foot stuck in the pallets. even cheep 1/4 inch plywood work on covering those pallets.. To keep costs down i constructed this pallet shed with free pallets gained off craigslist. we now have four goats after purchasing a doe, gabby, and her triplets now named thunder, oreo, and midnight..
