Window Casing Drywall Return
A drywall window return is used on windows where no trim will be installed. in some cases, a windowsill will be installed while the sides and top are finished in drywall. this is a fairly common. Adding casing to drywall return windows the plan is to build up a frame between the windows, put casing around the window and between the three windows, replace the stool and add an apron. then i will be making roman shades for each window.. I think of "return" as the drywall turns the corner (square corner bead) and dies into the window or door frame. if your looking for edge trims try fryreglet, they have a bunch of different types: l, f, h, z shapes..
A while backi had a thread about how common it is to see drywall returns on windows and interior doors.. i cant seem to find the thread so i started this one... Lol true but thats not nearly as much fun or as much work as doing a full trim job on a window. it would be a sad sad world to live in if every window had a drywall returnsort of like a world without colour
